Advantages

I feel safer knowing I have this device when I walk my dog. When I received my order, I did not know that it was charged and switched it on. My husband, dog and I were startled by the noise alone. I carry it with me at all times when I am walking my dog.

Disadvantages

None that I am aware of at this time.

Saved me from dog attack!

Disadvantages

Took off one star for not being waterproof. Don't get it damp! Took the taser stick on a run like I always do, and it started sprinkling. Has never worked since.

Got surrounded by vicious dogs on my walk. It took a while, but lunging and "buzzing" the shocker at the lead dog finally made him retreat. They do not like the sound. I'm not sure what would have happened if I hadn't had it.

Saved me from a dog attack recently while on a walk in my neighborhood.

Disadvantages

Reduced rating one star due to it not being rain proof. I got caught running in a light shower, and it was completely inoperative. After drying out, it’s still not reliable.

Recently I was charged by three vicious dogs in my neighborhood. Initially, the sound alone stopped them in their tracks about 15 feet away. However that was fleeting, and the lead dog charged again. Over and over I lunged at him with the baton, and he lunged at me between my activation of the shocker. I never touched him, but he finally retreated due to the electrical buzzing sound and my refusal to give up. Was very thankful I had the baton, and I will additionally carry pepper spray in the future.
